Fashion Week
Tangerine color schemes, delicate pastel frocks, and bold futuristic prints? Bring it on.
Something Fresh:
Every time Fashion Week rolls around there seems to be a skip in every fashionista’s step. New trends, new looks, new color palettes, what’s not to love? Every lover of fashion is indeed also, a lover of change. This year we saw Tangerine as one of the main color palettes. The color Orange, naturally being a difficult color to pull off, was illustrated beautifully in collections by Yves Saint Laurent, Anna Sui, and Rebecca Minkoff. One of my favorite trends this time around were all the futuristic prints. As beautiful as classic polka dots or pinstripes are, it was time to turn some patterns upside down.
The trick to wearing bold, out-of-control prints?
Don’t over do it.
Yes the supermodels may be wearing the pattern head to toe, but let’s be real. We live in a world where we venture to the grocery store, our 9 to 5, and maybe some cocktail parties- not often showing up to model at Fashion Week.
So this season, take a trend and don’t be afraid to make it your own. Style yourself beautiful, quirky, glamorous, or casual- maybe adding a touch of Tangerine.
